Bergerac est au cœur d'une région viticole réputée qui se prolonge jusqu'à la mer avec les vignobles de Saint Emilion et du Bordelais.

Aujourd'hui, nous partons donc vers l'Ouest, avec une première étape dans le village de Saint Emilion, célèbre pour ses vins (60 km). Ici les châteaux ne sont pas féodaux mais viticoles. Outre les nombreux chais, vous pouvez également visiter l'église monolithe, la plus vaste église souterraine d'Europe.

En reprenant la RN89 (ou directement par l'autoroute si vous ne passez pas par Saint Emilion, 110 km, 1h20 d'autoroute), nous arrivons à Bordeaux, capitale de l'Aquitaine et bien sûr ville chargée d'Histoire. On y circule très facilement en tram (laissez votre voiture au parking de La Buttinière), pour une très agréable promenade sur les quais le long de la Garonne, par exemple.

Si le but de cette journée est de profiter de l'océan, il ne vous faudra que 2 heures en partant de la maison pour atteindre Arcachon, ses fruits de mer, ses plages et sa célèbre dune du Pyla (ou Pilat), la plus haute d'Europe.

Nota : si vous choisissez de vous baigner dans l'océan, méfiez-vous des baïnes et de leurs forts courants. Renseignez-vous si vous ne connaissez pas ce sujet.

Bergerac is at the heart of a famous wine region that extends to the sea with the vineyards of Saint Emilion and Bordeaux.

So, today, we go to the West, with a first stop in the village of Saint Emilion, famous for its wines (60 km). Here castles are not feudal but wine. Besides the many wine store houses, you can also visit the monolithic church, the largest underground church in Europe.

Going back on the RN89 again (or directly from the motorway if you don't mean to stop at Saint Emilion), you arrive at Bordeaux, capital of Aquitaine and of course city steeped in History (110 km, around an hour and a half by the motorway). Let your car at the entrance of the town ("La Butinière" car park) and don't hesitate to take the tram, very easy to use, for a very pleasant walk on the quays along the Garonne, for example.

If the purpose of this day is to enjoy the ocean, it takes only two hours starting from the house to reach Arcachon, seafood, beaches and famous Dune of Pyla (or Pilat), the most highest in Europe.

Note: if you choose to swim in the ocean, beware of baïnes and their strong currents. Inquire about them if you do not know the topic.
